Chamber of Commerce Seafood Cook-Off & Festival Delights Attendees, Raises Funds for Community Initiatives

The annual Chamber Seafood Cook-Off & Festival occurred last Saturday, drawing a substantial crowd and featuring live performances alongside various culinary delights.
In its second year, the event saw a notable increase in attendance, with over 500 presale tickets sold and over 1000 attendees enjoying the festivities.
Attendees were treated to a selection of seafood dishes from competing teams, such as Blvd. Boilers, Boiling Over Seafood, and Coastal Catch. Champion Sports Bistreaux, Magnolia Monument Co., and Firemen’s Federal Credit Union were among the contenders. Dessert teams included Hannah’s Delights, H.I.S. Home Sweets, and Simply Lili’s.
Following the competition, winners were announced. Blvd. Boilers claimed awards for Best Crawfish and Best Fixings, while Maxx Shine Mobile Detailing, LLC won Best Seafood. Hannah’s Delights took home the prize for Best Dessert.
The funds raised from the event will be used by the chamber to provide scholarships for high school students and to assist local businesses with grants to enhance their operations.
