POPLARVILLE, Miss. —The dream of playing at the four-year level came true for three Pearl River football Wildcats on Wednesday as they signed their National Letters of Intent to play at the next level.
The 2023 group of early period signees include West Alabama signee Andrew Lee (Picayune; Pearl River Central), Arkansas-Monticello signee Dalton Lee (Carriere; Pearl River Central) and Arkansas Tech signee Ladner Davis (Lucedale; George County).
Several more Wildcats expect to sign in the spring.
“I’m super proud of these young men,” head coach Seth Smith said. “Since arriving on campus, they’ve worked extremely hard to elevate our program and their play. It’s very gratifying to see these guys get a chance to continue playing. They will make an immediate impact wherever they go — these guys are special.”
ANDREW LEE
Lee held down the right tackle position for Pearl River all season long, drawing the start in all nine games. Lee helped PRCC finish the year with 1,301 rushing yards and 2,313 total yards. He now joins West Alabama to continue his collegiate career.
He was named an All-MACCC Honorable Mention when the season ended.
DALTON LEE
Lee had a breakout sophomore campaign for the Wildcats, finishing the year with 62 total tackles, which tied for second place on the team. Lee led Pearl River in tackles-for-loss with 7.5 on the year, including 1.5 sacks. He broke up a pair of passes on the year.
LADNER DAVIS
Standing at 6-foot-5, Davis was an intimidating opposition for defensive linemen all year long.
The blindside protector for the quarterback started all nine games for the Wildcats in 2023 and helped them rack up 1,301 rushing yards and 1,012 passing yards.
