Sheriff’s Department looking for suspect who shot at Family Dollar in Carriere

An as yet unknown suspect fired a gun at the Family Dollar in Carriere Wednesday night, resulting in a damaged window but no injuries. The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the incident.

At 9:52 p.m. Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Department received a report of gunshots at the Family Dollar, said Maj. Marc Ogden.

Deputies found one bullet hole in the front glass door. The hole was high up in the window.

A witness at the scene saw a small black vehicle pass in front of the store when the shot was heard, Ogden said.
