Services for Connor Shelling of  New Orleans, LA  will be held Friday, January 10 , 2020 at noon  at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church.  The Pastor, Rev. Alex Wesco, Jr. will officiate at the service.

Connor was born May 13, 2015 to Charleston and Deshawn Shelling. As a baby Connor served the Lord with his whole heart,  And anyone that knew him, knew he loved God and took prayer very seriously. Connor was a part of House of Refuge Ministry, pastored by Apostle Barry & Janice Green. Connor later became a part of Harvest Barn Ministry, pastored by Pastor Jeremy & Jewel Buras.

Outside of church, Connor loved to take trips to the park, ride his power wheel, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Whenever Connor entered the room, you would know because he made his presence known. Connor was loving, kind, gentle, and very affectionate. Connor had a smile that was contagious and made those around him feel loved. Connor was a leader who led very well. Everything about courageous Connor will be missed.

On December 26, 2019, at the age of 4, the Lord reached down from heaven and took Connor by the hand. Connor was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Jessie and Jerodine Green and his aunt, Maritza Shelling.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his loving and devoted parents, Charleston and Deshawn Shelling; three siblings, Gabriel Shelling, Cameron Shelling, and Charleston Shelling; his grandparents, Karen Johnson, Georgel Nicholson, Geraldine Shelling and Charles Shelling;  and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Interment will be in New Palestine Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
