Apostle Joseph Alexander Beverly, III of Picayune, Mississippi transitioned into Glory Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the age of 58, in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and church congregation.
Apostle Beverly originated from New Orleans, Louisiana and has been a resident of Picayune for the last thirteen years.
He was the Apostle and founder of Ark of Safety Christian Embassy originated in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1994, presently in Picayune, Mississippi. Apostle Beverly had many accomplishments throughout his life including being the founder of Achieving Richer Knowledge Private Christian Academy, founder of House of Joseph Shelter and Rehabilitation Center, a certified electrician, an A/C technician, plumber, mechanical engineer, and various other skills.
He loved to remodel and build. He had his own construction company called House Doctors.
He loved presenting the gift of Jesus, people, fishing, music, playing the guitar and singing. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Pastor Lady Affiong Beverly; parents, Joseph Alexander Beverly II. and Lois Collins Beverly; mother-in-law, Ruth Marie Jackson; five sons, Isiah Spencer, Patrick Tezeno (Brandi), Jeremiah Beverly, Israel Beverly and Talib Beverly; five daughters, Joeneail Clayborne (Clay), Dorothy Peters (Corei), Jemika Williams, Jochebed Davis (Gregory) and Tabitha Zadi (Christian); two brothers, Keezante Beverly and Frederick Beverly (Rosalind); two sisters, Selma Robinson (Byron) and LaKeisha Brumfield (Xenophron); numerous grandchildren, aunts, uncles, God Children and a host of other relatives, congregation and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, the late Selma Taylor James and George Collins, Sr.; the late Verna Mae Price and Joseph Beverly, Sr.
Viewing will be held 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Ark of Safety Christian Embassy. Service will proceed at 12:00 p.m. 1303 South Haugh Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
