Graveside Funeral Services for Hilma Spence McQueen, age 79, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 11:00 am at New Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 10, 2018 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Rev. Kenny Mitchell will officiate the service.
A native of Caesar Community, MS, she was a retired Business Administrator for New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and attended First Baptist Church of Picayune for several years and has been recently attending Catahoula Missionary Baptist Church. Hilma was a loving sister, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Buford Spence and Myrtle Dossett Spence; her husband of 57 years, Carl McQueen; her daughter, Carla Gayle Primeaux; and her sister, Hesper Spence Lyons.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother, Barney (Martha) Spence; her sister, Nell Spence (Jimmy) Stewart; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
The family would like to thank Pat Carnes and the ladies at Our Place Personal Care, for the loving and tender care they gave to Hilma.
