Unofficial primary results

Mississippi’s primary election took place Tuesday to choose candidates who would move on to the general election of the Senatorial and 4th Congressional District House seats in their respective parties.
A total of 3,470 ballots were cast, which is just over 10 percent of the total number of 32,564 registered voters in Pearl River County. The unofficial figures below include absentee votes.
For the Senate on the Democratic ticket, David Baria received 157 votes, Jensen Bohren received 21 votes, Jerone Garland received 25 votes, Victor G. Maurice Jr. received 15 votes, Omeria Scott received 189 votes and Howard Sherman received 71 votes. On the Republican ticket for that seat, R. Warren Boyanton received 804 votes and Roger F. Wicker received 2,119 votes.
For the House seat, incumbent Steven Palazzo received 2272 votes and E. Brian Rose received 681 votes. Jeramey Anderson ran unopposed as the Democratic candidate for the House seat and received 416 votes.
