A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Alex Wesco will officiate at the service.
Johnny Lee “John” Ratcliff Jr., left this earth on Thursday March 22, 2018 to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 63. John was born in Picayune, Mississippi to the late Lonnie Jefferson and Meril Coleman. He later moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School and accepted Christ as his personal savior.
John was a licensed CDL truck driver for various companies, until his retirement in 2012.
He survived by his wife, Jessica Ratcliff, son, Johnny L. Ratcliff III (Kymberly); daughter, LaToya D. Ratcliff-Taylor (Johnny); step- daughter, Tionna Adair; his mother, Mrs. Meril Coleman; seven sisters, Barbara Parkman, Mary (Eugene) Patrick, Lillie Bee (Carl) Henry, Dorothy (Christopher) Abrams, Maggie Lee Washington, Cynthia Ratcliff, and Willene (Curtis Charles) Bridges; one brother, the late Jimmie (Elizabeth) Coleman, 10 grandchildren, Ayanna Taplette, Joshua Butler Jr, Danielle Thompson, Keegon Wash, Johnny Taylor III, Jayron Taylor, Ja’Nay Ratcliff, Jace Taylor, and the late Jeremiah Ratcliff; one great grandchild, Jewel Ackin.
He is also survived by one aunt, Maggie Mae Wilson, one uncle, Clarence “Sonny” (Yvonne) Ratcliff and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Interment will be at a later date.
