Billie Joe Risinger

On April 14th, Mrs. Billie Joe Risinger passed away at Northside Hospital in Cumming, Georgia.
Billie is survived by her children, Wilson (Konnie) of Brandon, Mississippi, Deron (Leslie Hensley) of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Brian (Meghan) of Cumming, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Zach, Brody, Mallory, Tress, Ben, Joe, and Lydia; and three sisters, Ellen Lackey (Bill) of Conroe, Texas, Dorothy Tantillo of Friendswood, Texas, and Karen Cappel (Ogden) of Prairieville, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferron Risinger, and her mother and father, James and Vivian Cooper.
Billie was born on February 20, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas. She married the love of her life, Ferron, in June of 1962. She taught kindergarten at the First United Methodist Church of Picayune for over a decade, was on a Picayune bowling league for over thirty years, and was an active member of her church. Most of all, she was a completely devoted mother, grandmother, and wife.
Visitation will be this Saturday, April 21st, at The First United Methodist Church from 9:00 until 11:00 am with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Reverend Harold Manning and McDonald Funeral Home.
