The Poplarville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual egg hunt Saturday afternoon.

Chamber President Glenn Bolin said this is the fifth year that the event will take place. The egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. at the Town Green, located on Main Street.

He said children of all ages are eligible to participate. Bolin encourages the children to bring their own baskets but if they’re unable to do so, representatives from the Chamber hope to have some extra baskets for the children who might need one.

During the event, Bolin said various chamber sponsors will be on-site and will provide children with special prizes.

“We have had a good turnout over the last couple of years and I’m hoping for the same turnout this year as well,” Bolin said. “We ask for all the families in the community to come out and enjoy a day with us. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
