Funeral Services for Dovis Geneva Burton, age 81, of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018, will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 12:00 pm at Corinth Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Corinth Baptist Church. 

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Carl Myers, Pastor David Russell, Bro. Aldon Morse, and Dr. Josh Braddy will officiate the service.

A native of Covington, LA, she was a retired upholsterer and a member of Corinth Baptist Church. Doe was a perfectionist seamstress. She was a loving mother, Grams, aunt, and friend, who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel C. Swaggerty and Lillie Mae Taylor Swaggerty; and her four sisters and three brothers.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Deborah (Donnie) Dorn and Cecil “Butch” (Sandra) Burton; her nine grandchildren, Corey (Christie) Dorn, Chad (Valerie) Dorn, Daniel “Danky” (Becca) Dorn, Derek “ Bubba” (Stephanie) Dorn, Andrea (Lex) Laurent, Priscilla Roberts, Crystal (Steve) Roper, and Jonathan (Sandra) Burton; her 29 great grandchildren; her two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
