I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 2 Timothy 4:7

On the morning of Thursday, December 7, 2017 a joyful and dependable solider was called home to rest in peace. Lloyd Edward Dantzler, III was born November 8, 1971 in Frankfurt, Germany to the late Lloyd Dantzler, Jr. and Mary Louise Dantzler.  He joined Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. E. L. Fox.  He was a dedicated employee of M Natal Construction of Slidell, Louisiana and Huey P. Stockstill Construction of Picayune, Mississippi. To meet him on the other side is his father Lloyd Dantzler, Jr., his sister Robin Dantzler, and grandparents Lloyd and Thelma Dantzler and George and Mary Stevens. 

Lloyd “Tiger” Dantzler, III, leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife Sonya Bender-Dantzler; two daughters: Lauryn M. Dantzler of Picayune, Mississippi and Tiambria Smith of Atlanta, Georgia; one son Jermal Randolph of Picayune, Mississippi; three grandchildren: Jermiah Randolph, Dillon Randolph, and Kylee Randolph; his mother Louise Dantzler; two sisters: Tina (Matt) Ceaser of Picayune, Mississippi and Gina Gray of Slidell, Louisiana; one brother Danny (Stacey) Dantzler of Picayune, Mississippi; three Godchildren: Devin Roberts of Dallas, Texas, Bianca Peters and Jana Alexander of Picayune, Mississippi; his father-in-law and mother- in-law James and Georgia Bender, Sr.; brother-in-law James Bender, Jr.; special mother figures: Tina Ceaser and Debra Hadley of Picayune, Mississippi; special brothers: Lamont Roberts and Shakir Jones; special sister Chanesia Jones;  nieces and nephews: Tiaqua Dantzler, Shelly Wilson, Rene Dantzler, Alicia Gray, C. J. Wilson, Shirra Stubbs, Danielle Dantzler, and Danny Dantzler, Jr.; and an abundance of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Greater Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 12 noon.  Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
