Funeral Services for Tony Bruce Knight, age 59, of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017, will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Deacon Doug McNair will officiate the service.
Born on July 2, 1958 and a native of Picayune, Mississippi, Tony earned the nickname, Bulldog, while playing his favorite sport, football, at Picayune Memorial High School. He was among numerous friends in the graduating class of 1976. Tony attended the University of Southern Mississippi, and studied marine biology. He adored all outdoor sports.
As a result, he owned and operated, Plantation Sporting Clays. He met the love of his life, and married Tammy on July 4, 1996. The two then welcomed their one and only son, Clay Knight. Tony was employed at Rooms to Go, and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was a first degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Tony was generous, fiercely loyal, and loving. He was a loving father, brother, son in law, brother in law, uncle, and friend; Tony will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Earl Knight and Billie Lou Baker Knight; and his wife, Tamelia Marie Knight.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Charles “Clay” Clayton Knight; his brother, Kenny (Jodi) Knight; and his sister, Billie Diana Knight; his mother in law, Linda Fabre; his sister in law, Connie (Mark) Madrid; two nieces, Victoria (Dave) Waaga and Collin (Brennen) Hodge; and one nephew, Jordan (Courtney) Knight; and his great nieces and nephews, Gabriel Waaga, Brandt, Collyn, and Hudson Knight, and Grant Hodge.
