Sweet Peas Boutique now open

A new children’s clothing store opened in Picayune almost two months ago, Sweet Peas Boutique.
Inside, customers will find a variety of children’s clothing and high quality presents for baby showers and other occasions.
Owner and operator Hillary Reynolds said this is her third business venture in town, but the first where she is working out of her own location. The first was an online store and the second was in the same building as the BAKE Project where she sold candles and pottery.
She opened the doors to this new venture with a large amount of help from family on Sept. 1 of this year. Reynolds said her husband and parents put a lot of work into getting the business ready for opening day.
With her background in marketing, her goal is to see the business outgrow its current location, at 1703 Highway 11 N. Suite C, within a year. Through the support she’s already seen from her customers, she feels that will be something she can accomplish.
Her business also offers some of the stock from her previous business venture, candles and pottery. She also offers bath bombs.
The business currently employs four people full time, including Reynolds. Two of the employees are currently attending high school, while the third is attending college, but all of them participate in an after school activity. Reynolds said she hires students who have after school activities because she remembers how difficult it was to find a job when she was a member of her high school rodeo team.
Reynolds said she would like to thank her husband and parents for all of their hard work to get the business started.
