Alfred Brinson Alcock, Sr., age 89, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Reverend Brad Aumann, Pastor officiating.
Mr. Alcock was a U.S. Coast Guard World War II Veteran, and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He worked at NASA for 18 years, and at Hewlett-Packer for 24 years and retired in 1990. He loved gardening and was a member of River Ridge Bromeliad Society.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Shirley Alcock of Picayune; two sons, Alfred Alcock Jr., and his wife Althea of Louisiana, and Wayne Alcock and his wife Donna of Picayune; one daughter, Denise Baan and her husband Louis of California; son-in-law, Paul Parisi of Georgia; ten grandchildren, Brandolin Barret and her husband Brice of Oregon, Scott Parisi and his wife Michelle of Georgia, James Alcock and his wife Susan of Florida, John Alcock of Tennessee, Heather Syrovy and her husband Roy of Washington, Holly Hart and her husband Eric of California, Katryna Baan of California, Jennifer Bourlet and her husband Scott of Mississippi; Chris Alcock and his wife Paulette of Mississippi, and Brian Alcock of Mississippi.
Great-grandchildren, Mason Parisi, Logan Parisi, Gavin Parisi, Mason Alcock, Logan Alcock. Emily Alcock, Nathan Alcock, Kylee Syrovy, Aurora Syrovy, Roy Syrovy, Jr., Rahvin Bakken, Kaydance Hart, Kaitlyn Bourlet, Scott Bourlet, Clayton Alcock, and Gavin Alcock; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers, Demion Campen and his wife Hazel of North Carolina, and James Campen and his wife Judy of North Carolina; and one sister, Inez McElrath of North Carolina;
He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Lillie Alcock; daughter, Sharon Parisi; sister, Sylvia Campen; brothers, Edward Alcock, Hugh Alcock; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Alcock.
