Services for Willie James Ross Sr., 64, of Picayune Miss., who passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017, will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Picayune,  Mississippi.  Pastor Donald Parker will officiate at the service. 

Willie was born on July 17, 1953, in Itta Bena, MS to the late Henrene Meeks Ross and the late James Wesley Ross. 

Willie was a graduate of Amanda Elzy High School.  He relocated to Picayune, Miss. where he met Maria Ray Ross and the two joined in holy matrimony, unto this union three sons were born.   He was previously employed as a construction worker. 

Willie James Ross Sr. ended his earthly walk to begin his heavenly existence Monday, July 3, 2017, at his home with his loving family surrounding him. 

He is preceded in death by his mother; Henrene Meeks Ross; his father; James Wesley Ross and two brothers, Leonard Ross and Robert Ross.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his faithful and loving wife Maria Ray Ross; Four Sons: Reggie Jones of Iowa City, IA, Willie James Ross Jr, James Wesley Ross and Ray Ross of Picayune, MS; Three brothers: AW Ross (Mattie), Jerry Ross both of Picayune, MS, Sam Ross (Penny) of Jackson, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to service.

Interment will be Picayune Cemetery.  Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
