Take my hand precious Lord. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church for Ella Mae Pittman Lotts. Pastor Alex Wesco will officiate at the services.
Ella Mae was born June 29, 1930 in Expose, Miss. to the late Simon and Sarah Pittman – Murphy.
She fell in love with sewing her teenage years. She started working for Rubenstein Brothers and Harry Harmon as a seamstress for many years.
Ella was raised in Picayune, MS where she later moved to New Orleans, LA in the 50s and married Mal Collier Lotts. She retired and moved back to Picayune in the 90s.
She was a member of Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Alex Wesco.
On May 28, 2017, God sent an angel to claim his own, Ella Mae Lotts (Dear).
Ella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mal Collier Lott; son, John Smith; grandson, Jermaine Smith; brother, John Leroy Pittman; sister-in-law, Lillie Mae Pittman.
She leaves to cherish her love and memories: her grandson, Johnathan, her granddaughters, Nicole and Crystal Smith; daughters-in-law, Debra Smith; two sister, Dorothy Reese of New Orleans, LA and Brilla Connerly of Picayune, Miss.; one sister-in-law, Arby Jean McKenzie of Picayune, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery.
