Melanie Carroll Torgersen

Celebration of Life for Melanie Carroll Torgersen, 60, of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Sunday, March 12, 2017, will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at North Hill Pavilion, North Hill Drive, Carriere, Miss. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
A native of Picayune, Miss., she was a Secretary for Stennis Space Center, and private duty sitter for the elderly. Melanie was a member of First Baptist Church of Nicholson. She was a loving mother, Memaw, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Melanie was down to earth, fun-loving, lots of personality and lots of talent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Carroll and Mary Yvonne Mitchell Carroll; and her sister, Linnie Faye Mitchell.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Rob Torgersen; 2 grandchildren, Bentley Torgersen and Brycen Torgersen; the father of her son, Robert Torgersen, Sr.; her brothers, John (Lynda) Carroll, James (Nancy) Carroll, and Dennis Carroll; and several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
