Mr. James Warren Jefferson, Sr. was born January 25, 1972 in Picayune, Miss.  He later relocated from Picayune to Portland, Ore., where he resided for the past several years.  James was a loyal employee to Cenveo Graphic Arts where he worked as a dedicated employee for 18 years.  On November 18, 2016, he departed this world unexpectedly at the age of 44.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Jefferson, maternal grandmother, Curtistine Ceaser and step-brother, Harold McKee, Jr.
He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends, as a devoted husband to Mrs. Carmita “Michelle” Robinson-Jefferson; loving father to Semaj Jefferson and James Jefferson Jr.; son to Mrs. Ella (Richard) Hammick;  grandson to his paternal grandmother, Ms. Doretha Jefferson-Magee; brother to Connie Jones, Ambroshia (Derrick) Roumell, Darrell Jones, Monique (Bernard) Sangs, Rodney Ceaser, Niccole (Corey) Jefferson-Byrd, and Kawana (Douglas) Furr; step-brother to Bonita Wynn, Trenda Faciane, Cynthia McKee, and Tammy Seawood.  He will be missed by both paternal and maternal aunts, uncles, neices, nephews, and cousins.  James (Sporty) was well-known, loved, and a friend to many in the Picayune, Carriere, and Portland areas.  His infectious smile will be remembered by all that were honored to know him.
Family and Friends are invited to gather and share memories of James during Visitation on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home Chapel. Repasts will be held immediately following the Visitation at 1004 Clover Circle and 107 Weems Street, Picayune, Miss. 39466.
