Several suspects were taken into custody by the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department for various drug-related warrants.
The first case took place on July 6 when narcotics detectives fueling up their patrol vehicle observed a women later identified as 48-year-old Krystal Lawrence of 23 Hunt Rd., interacting with various individuals, either on foot or in vehicles, in the parking lot of a Nicholson store, said Pearl River County Sheriff David Allison.
They spoke with Lawrence due to the suspicious activity, finding she had a warrant out for her arrest for the charge of driving while license suspended.
A search of her person found suboxone in her possession, which she was allegedly distributing at the store, Allison said.
She was charged with felony transfer of a controlled substance and also taken into custody on the warrant, Allison said.
Later that month, on July 13, narcotics detectives received a tip that a suspect, wanted for four felony counts of drug related charges, was in the area. Allison said the suspect, 39-year-old Sunni Krista Mitchell of 32 Don Millis Rd., had left the area before investigators arrived, so they checked other locations where Mitchell is known to frequent, finding her at 1631 North Beech Street. Allison said they called for backup, to help surrounded the house, but when they arrived Mitchell was found next to her vehicle parked in front of the home.
She was taken into custody for the warrants, which were for two counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance and two counts of sale of a controlled substance.
While working the scene, deputies observed 30-year-old Angela L. Wilson, who lives at 1631 North Beech Street, climbing out of a window of the home. She was stopped and checked for warrants. Allison said the check confirmed Wilson had four warrants, two for possession of a controlled substance, one for possession of marijuana and one for possession of paraphernalia. She, too, was taken into custody.
Later that same day, narcotics investigators attending Justice Court proceedings observed two men in the courtroom they believed had warrants out for their arrest, 21-year-old Kolby C. Dragon of 129 Rovira Dr., Carriere and 18-year-old Brandon D. Cadle of 149 Rovira Dr., Allison said.
While waiting for the court proceedings to conclude, the investigators confirmed warrants were still out for the men.
Allison said that and court had concluded, both suspects were taken into custody as they exited the courtroom. Dragon and Cadle were taken into custody for the warrants, which were for two counts of sale of a controlled substance and two counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, Allison said.
