Joseph H. Lafaye, III

Joseph H. “Butch” Lafaye, III, 74, passed away in Picayune, MS, on June 14, 2016, after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Roppolo Lafaye; sons, Joseph H. Lafaye, Jr. and Clifford J. Lafaye (Rachel); grandchildren, Brook C. Beter and Chaz J. Lafaye; sister, Joan Combel (Paul).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Georgie Madden Lafaye and Clifford Joseph Lafaye; and his sister, Georgie Lafaye McGraw. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in his memory to St. Joseph Hospice, 1240 Broad Avenue, Gulfport, MS, 39501.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 24 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at St. Edward Catholic Church, 4921 W. Metairie Avenue, Metairie, LA, with a funeral mass immediately following.
A celebration of his life will be held, after the service, at Angie’s Restaurant, 6005 Jefferson Highway, Harahan, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
