Funeral services for Stephen Barry Poole, 71, of Franklinton, LA, who passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, will be held Saturday, January 23, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 23, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
Bro. Carl Heberg will officiate the service.
A native of Picayune, MS,  he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the city of Picayune. Steve was a loving father, grandfather, and brother who will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson Irvin Poole and Ida Mae Livingston Odom; brothers, Richard Odom, James Odom; brother-in-law, Gene Wheat.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Angel Dillon and husband Lee; son, James Poole; five grandchildren, Dakota Garretti, Ty Dillon, Hayleigh Poole, Tina Jordan, and Caitlin Dillon; brother, Ernest Odom and wife Sue; sisters, Elizabeth White and husband Wayne, Bobby Tant and husband Charles, Marsha Wheat, Vicky Byrd and husband Freeman, Brenda Lowery and husband Jr.; step mother, Annie Poole; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
