Larry Holley

Larry Holley, 69, of Morgan, passed away on September 15, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held
held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at Cedar Shores Baptist Church, with Rev. Keith Blanton, officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday,
September 17, 2015 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
Larry was born in Ironton, Ohio, on Janaury 3, 1946, to Charles and Catherine (Woolum) Holley and grew up in Ohio. He lived in Mississippi for 20 years before moving to Whitney in 2013.
On November 24, 1994, he married Martha Gardner.
He enjoyed collecting miniature trains, but he was especially fond of collecting anything that had to do with eagles. Most importantly, he loved his black lab, Enya.
Larry served in the United States Army in Vietnam and Cambodia and was a Vietnam veteran. During his time there, he served in the Army Rangers and Special Forces.
A member of Cedar Shores Baptist Church in Morgan, he was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Holley; children, Lara Sword, Larry Holley, Jr., Lenore Johnson, Eron Holley and Samantha Orlando; step-children, Doug Williams and Joel Williams; grandchildren, John Horridge, II, Sean Horridge, Wolfgang Ruiz, Gunner Ruiz, Dylan Holley, Marcelle Holley, Luke Holley, Eric Johnson, Chance Johnson, October Holley, Danté Holley, Ashlie Holley, and Travis Orlando; step-grandchildren, Jessica Basham and Shelbi Weaver; great-grandchildren, John Horridge, III, Daniel Hall, Charlsey Ford and Wylie Basham.
