Private memorial services for Fred Steven “Steve” Strain, age 61 of  Carriere, MS, who passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, will be held at a later date.

A native of Carriere, MS, he was a truck driver. Steve was a loving father, papa, brother, and friend who will be truly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Strain and Clara Nealy Strain; his wife, Vanessa Strain; and his brother, David Strain.

Survivors include his children, Jeremy S. Strain and Danica Strain, and Calynn Strain Spence; 8 grandchildren, Austin, Anna, Avery (Strain), Trinity, Dalton, Victoria (Spence), Lovie, and Laden (Spiers); his sisters, Marsha Wilson, Janet (Mitch) Ledet, Susan (Randy) Jarrell; and his brother, Jeff Strain.
