Funeral Services for Tommy Lee Spires, 76, who passed away on Friday, October 27, 2014 will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M.. Reverend Donald Parker is pastor.

Tommy Spires was born on January 13, 1938 in Bonifi, Florida to the late Henry Spires and Alberta Spires. He attended Bonifi Florida Public Schools. He was reared by his aunts, Anna & Ida Spires.

In the early 1960’s Tommy relocated to Picayune, Mississippi where he has resided every since. Tommy was self-employed as a Brick Mason. He was a very friendly person who rarely met a stranger. Tommy enjoyed social gatherings and spending time with family and friends.

Tommy ended his earthy walk on October 27, 2014 when he entered into a peaceful rest. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Alberta Spires, and two daughters, Carolyn Spires, and Tammy Cooper.

He leaves cherishable memories to: his ex-wife and lifetime friend, Tammie Spires; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Spires, and Tommy Lee Spires, Jr.; one step-son, Kennis Bethel; two step-daughters, LaTonya Jenkins, and Shanesia Bethel; one aunt, Nely Pearl Ackins; thirteen grandchildren, Ta’Kayla, Darious, Kendrick, Keviona, Ja’Nacia, Kennis, Jr., Keviya’da, Ant’wyna, Kevinea, Kevin, Jr., Ta’Nyrian, Ja’Keria, and Ja’Kari; a special friend, Mildred Huderson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
