Steven Lyle Little passed away at his home on the evening of Wednesday, February 12, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born August 11, 1973, in Picayune, Miss., he is survived by his wife, Melissa Stewart Little, and his two greatest blessings, sons, Jace and Brendan of Edmond, Okla.; his parents, Bobby Little of Carriere, Miss., and Brenda Guarr Little of Diamondhead, Miss.; his grandmother, Mable Guarr of Meridian, Miss.; his two siblings and their spouses, Todd and Deborah Little Farley, and nieces Sydney and Meredith Farley and Richard and Brandy Little and nephews Rob and Cole Little, all of Katy, Texas; his father-in-law, Mack Stewart and mother-in-law, Dianne Young Stewart, both of Edmond; his brother-in-law, Chad Stewart, his wife, Adrienne Nolan Stewart, and his nephew, Walker Stewart of Coconut Creek, Fla.
Steve spent his youth in Picayune, and upon graduation from Picayune Memorial High School in 1991, he attended Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Civil Engineering.
His hobbies, second to adventures with his family, included advancing his education. As an avid life-long student, he received a Masters in Finance from the University of Houston as well as a Masters in Economics from the University of Oklahoma. Throughout his career, Steve enjoyed opportunities with Reliant Energy (CenterPoint), Southern Union (Panhandle Energy & Trunkline LNG), OG&E-Enogex (Enable) and Gulfport Energy. Steve moved his family to Edmond in 2005.
Members of Lifechurch, God lead and blessed the Littles with His grace, mercy, and love as Steve boldly and faithfully sought Him. Steve’s heart of a servant-leader, love for God, family, and friends were evident and inspiring during his journey, and his unique sense of humor was unforgettable.
We will sure miss our fun times with him, as he inspired us daily, but for those of us who have accepted God’s greatest gift, we celebrate knowing we will one day join him on God’s great dance floor. For now, we cherish our memories and press on, our hearts buoyed by a God who loves us and wants us to know Him deeply. Join us as we celebrate Steve’s life.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond.
