Lester N. Cutrer

Lester N. Cutrer, 68, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Friday evening, September 27, 2013 in the Oschner Hospital, Clear View Parkway, Jefferson, La., after a lengthy and severe bout with cancer.
He was born in Summit, Miss., on September 9, 1945 and lived in Picayune for about the past 26 years. He was a lawn maintenance man, sat with and cared for the elderly and shut-in’s when and where needed by several friends in the Picayune Community.
He was preceded in death by: his father: Alton R. Cutrer; mother, Ouida Marie Boyd Cutrer Wilson; step-father, LeRoy Wilson; sister, Roma Marie Cutrer VanNorman; and one brother, Marvin Eugene Cutrer, who died in Viet Nam at the age of 19.
Survivors include: one brother, Robert W. Cutrer Sr.; sister-in-law, Patsy Marselle Cutrer; many nephews, nieces and friends.
It has been said by many who knew him, he had a big heart and would help anyone, especially those who were in need. As the old saying goes, he would give you the shirt off his back.
In the hope he may help others, he donated his body for anatomical study and medical training.
