Contract workers for the Mississippi Department of Transportation are upgrading traffic lights along U.S. 11. On Monday, the crew was installing wire to the key areas where the new lights will be installed. Upgrades to the system are expected to reduce congestion by using technology that will monitor traffic flow patterns.
