A Rankin County pharmacy worker has been arrested on felony charges after a one-week prescription drug investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

MBN Director Marshall Fisher said in a news release that agents arrested 29-year-old Allen Todd Barrett on Monday at his job at Super D Drugs on U.S. Highway 80 in Pearl.

Fisher said Barrett has been charged with possession with intent to distribute about 600 dosage units of hydrocodone and embezzlement of about 5,000 dosage units of the prescription drug from his employer.

It was not immediately known whether Barrett has an attorney.
