LOG JAM — Russell Foster told supervisors this week about this log jam on Hobolochitto Creek just south of historic Burnt Bridge. Supervisor Sandy Kane Smith said he had talked to Congressman Gene Taylor about the possibility of finding funding to clear the creek of obstructions and log jams. This jam blocks recreational use and fishing of a portion of the creek. There is a boat ramp at Burnt Bridge, allowing access to the creek. East Boley and West Boley run together near the Hermitage to form the main creek, which flows into East Pearl River.
