2 confirmed to Mississippi Board of Education

The Mississippi Senate on Saturday confirmed two state Board of Education members who have been serving since last July.
Sue Ann Matheson of Diamondhead and Kami Bumgarner of Madison were appointed to the nine-member board by Gov. Haley Barbour. They are the only board members up for confirmation this year.
Matheson is superintendent of Pass Christian schools, and her board term expires in July 2014.
Bumgarner is an English and social studies teacher at Madison Middle School, and her board term expires in July 2018.
The nominations are Senate Nominations 13 and 14.
