HERE COME THE EGGS — A crowd estimated at more than 2,000 was on-hand Saturday for the Picayune Main Street Egg Drop at the Picayune airport, and officials pronounced the festivities a huge success. The small carnival featured inflated attractions, a climbing wall, miniature airplane demonstrations, and a host of other activities, including egg hunts. Aircraft, such as this one, dropped eggs prior to a stampede of kids who had lined up at the starting line. Cash prizes were offered this year. Also on-hand were remote control enthusiasts who put on an impressive show with their miniatures.
