For the second straight season, Pearl River Central ventured to New Orleans to face Presbyterian Christian in the New Orleans Arena.
Unfortunately for the Blue Devils, this year’s game wasn’t as successful as last year’s.
PRC fell to PCS 64-45 Wednesday afternoon in a game that preceded the New Orleans Hornets-Miami Heat contest.
Jordan Fairconetue paced PRC with 14 and Andre Broadwater added 10, as the Blue Devils fell to 5-13 on the year.
Last year, PRC knocked off PCS. On Wednesday, though, PCS jumped out to a 20-7 lead after the first period and the Blue Devils never could recover.
“The kids got to see the Hornets play, that was the highlight,” PRC head coach Austin Alexander said. “We just didn’t play well.”
