Mississippi Public Broadcasting will broadcast a special program on swine flu on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.
MPB News Director Teresa Collier says the program is an effort to provide Mississippians with the most accurate information on swine flu and will include a panel of medical experts to take calls from listeners.
Dr. Rick deShazo, chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University Medical Center in Jackson, will be the show’s moderator.
DeShazo and the medical panel will discuss symptoms, treatment, vaccines, public health policy and available resources.
The show will be simulcast on MPB Think Radio and will also be available on online.
