Repairs will close the road through the Vicksburg National Cemetery to traffic until December.
The work begins Monday.
Financed by federal stimulus funds, the work involves resurfacing the winding road and replacing 170 feet of concrete gutters to improve drainage in the cemetery.
Rick Martin, Vicksburg National Cemetery chief of operations, tells the Vicksburg Post that pedestrian traffic might also be restricted at different times during the project.
