NEW NEWS – JUCO baseball action

Homestanding Pearl River Community College split a South Division doubleheader with visiting Co-Lin in juco baseball action Saturday.
In game one, The Wildcats took a 7-4 win as Josh Jones (2-1) picked up the win.
Matt Discon had a pair of doubles for the Wildcats while Dustin Langley had two singles and drove in a run and Michael Lindsey had a double and a pair of RBI’s while Ashley Graeter, Alex Riser 1B and Tristan Rogers all added RBI-singles to the winning cause.
In the second game, the Wolves pulled out a 5-2 win as Koday Lancaster (2-2) took the loss.
Derek Tortorich had a double and a single to pace PRCC while Discon added two singles as well.
The Wildcats stand 14-10 overall and 2-4 in league play after the split decision.
Up next for head coach Jamie McMahon’s Wildcats it’s more MACJC South Division action for Pearl River when rival Jones County visits Tuesday for a 4 p.m. doubleheader, then Wildcats host division power Mississippi Gulf Coast Saturday, March 28, in a 1 p.m. twin bill.
