Shelby A. Wilbanks

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2008, at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Nicholson for Shelby A. Wilbanks, 60, of Ocean Springs, Miss., who passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 in Ocean Springs.

Burial will be in the Flat Top Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. Danny Nance will officiate at the service.

A native of Picayune, Miss., he was retired from the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Carl Wilbanks and Erma Jean Penton.

Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Walters; his daughter, Tia Cain (John) of Thicket, Texas; his step-children: Tad Walters (Pam), Torrie Mohr (Michael), Trae Walters (Amanda), and Tally Mayfield (Joel); two brothers, John Allen Wilbanks (Diane) of Carriere, and Lawrence Paul Wilbanks (Barbara) of Picayune; one sister, Sharon Jane Larrison (Bob) of Gautier, Miss.; his granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Cain of Thicket; his step-grandchildren: Megan, Tristan and William Mohr, Kimberly, Bubba Trae, Seth, and Mileah Walters, Abby and Joe Mayfield, Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.
