The Amite County School District will reimburse the South Pike School District for damages caused by its football team after a game in October.
Amite County Board of Education members this past week authorized officials to pay $3,137 for damages to the visitors’ dressing room in the South Pike field house.
Officials say the money covers replacement costs and painting in the field house, which had damage to a restroom and the weight room.
Officials say ceiling tile and a sink were damaged by the Amite County team after the Oct. 3 game, which was highlighted by a dispute over a controversial call made by officials at the end of the game, which Amite County lost.
