A grand jury has indicted a Natchez man on charges of murder.
Eighteen-year-old Jordan Bates was indicted Wednesday for his role in a murder that occurred Aug. 12.
In that incident police said Bates allegedly shot 24-year-old Charvius Martin in the back of the head as Martin, Bates and another man drove through the Roselawn subdivision.
Natchez Police Sgt. Craig Godbold said he believes Bates to be the only shooter in the case.
However, a third man, Erik Hutchins, was also arrested in relation to the case.
He was charged with tampering with evidence.
