Bonds were set Monday for four teenagers charged in the firebombing of Lumberton High School.
Lamar County Sheriff Danny Rigel says 18-year-olds, Tyler Maier, Michael Minteer, and Akeem Taylor and 19-year-old Britney Thompson were arrested after deputies received a call early Friday from a witness who reported flames coming from the school.
Police say Molotov cocktails in Gatorade bottles were tossed through the window of the school office. Rigel says a field house was also destroyed in the blaze.
All the teens face one count of felony arson. Minteer and Taylor were charged with a second count of felony arson for the fire at the field house. Judge Bill Anderson set bond for Taylor and Minteer at $400,000. Bond was set for Thompson and Maier at $200,000.
