Funeral services were held Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Hylda Faye Dean, 57, of Carriere, who passed away Monday, October 15, 2007 in Slidell, La.

Burial will be in the Forestlawn Cemetery in Saraland, Ala. at 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2007 under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.

The Rev. John Brock will officiate at the service.

A native of Mobile, Ala., she was a bank manager and a member of the Roseland Park Baptist Church.

Hylda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was loved by all who knew her. She dedicated her life to Jesus and showed us all what it meant to be a Christian. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: her husband of 39 years, Robert Dean of Carriere; three daughters, Angela Faye Minturn of Waldorf, Md., Cynthia Diane Tarver of McNeill, and Brittney Mechel Dean of Carriere; five grandchildren, three brothers, Jimmy Hale Spencer of Stapleton, Ala., Fenton David Spencer and Harry Moody Spencer, both of Mobile.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home.

McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
