Services are 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17, at Byrd’s Chapel United Methodist Church for William J. Morris, Sr., 85, of Carriere, who died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2006, in Hattiesburg.

Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

A native of Pennsylvania, he was a retired electrical engineer, a Mason and a member of Byrd’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Maureen Morris; three sons, William J. Morris, Jr., of Clifton Park, N.Y., John Morris of Cleveland, Tenn., and Douglas Morris of Dallas, Texas; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Family services and burial are in Saratoga, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the church.
