Funeral Services for Esther Slatten Gordon, 85 of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, and also on Saturday, December 28, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Rev. Gary Killen will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, she was retired from Movie Star, Inc. Esther was a member of Goodyear Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who will be truly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Stephen Slatten and Thressa Lewis Carruth; her husband, David Samuel Gordon III; her sisters and brothers, Mary E. Jarrell, Arthur L. Slatten, Myra Lynn Lee, Charles Lee Carruth, and Lynn Carruth.

Survivors include her children, Theressa Gordon Noustens and husband Emile, and Stephen M. Gordon; 3 grandchildren, Cassandra Noustens Garrett and husband Brandon, Katrina Noustens Lee and husband B.J., and David S. Gordon IV; 1 great grandchild, Preston Garrett; her brother, Clyde E. Slatten and wife Linda; her sister, Sue Carol Henderson; her sisters in law, Peggy Joyce Slatten, and Patricia Carruth Munson & husband Mark; and numerous nieces and nephews.
