Suspect arrested for burglary
The Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department responded to a complaint about a burglary on Pepper Mill Road, in Carriere, which led to an arrest for both the burglary and possession of heroin, Major Donnie Saucier, chief investigator for the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department.
“On January 17, patrol deputies responded to an address on Pepper Mill Rd. in reference to a burglary,” Saucier said. “Upon arrival the deputy spoke to the victims and he was able to establish Joshua Cody Kipker, 29 years of age, residing at #12 Pepper Mill Rd, in Carriere, as a suspect.”
Saucier said, after processing the scene of the burglary, the deputy went to #12 Pepper Mill Rd. in an attempt to locate the suspect.
“The deputy located Kipker at that address and after further investigation and interviews he placed him under arrest for burglary,” Saucier said. “Kipker had a backpack on him and after his arrest the deputy searched the backpack and found a syringe with liquid substance drawn back in the syringe.”
Narcotics investigators were called to the scene and conducted a preliminary field test in which the clear substance tested positive for heroin, Saucier said.
“Kipker was arrested for burglary and felony possession of heroin,” said Saucier.
