Alphis James Mazingo

Funeral Services for Alphis James Mazingo, 36 of Picayune, Miss., who passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013, will be held Monday, December 16, 2013, at 11:00 am at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Bro. Phil Pearson will officiate the service.

A native of Picayune, he was a Supervisor in the Oil Industry and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He served as a Seabee for six years in the United States Navy. He was a loving, devoted father and son who will be sadly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty J. Kellar; his grandfather, Robert Andrew Campbell; his grandmother, Patricia Mazingo; and his grandfather, Joseph L. Lafferty.

Survivors include his parents, Joseph N. Lafferty and Brenda J. Lafferty; his daughter, Shelby M. Mazingo; his son, Jeremy N. Mazingo; his sister, Christy J. Lafferty;  his girlfriend, Kelly L. Edward; and his step grandfather, Alphis James Mazingo.
