Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Rose of Sharon Church of God in Christ. Elder David Simmons is Pastor. Pastor Tommy Hart is her pastor and Reverend Willie D. Rawls will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Vinnie “Sunday” De’etta McQueen of Picayune, Mississippi passed away on April 29,  2018.  She was born to Charles Fairley and Flora S. Burnett on July 16, 1985.  She was preceded in death by her Grandfather: Johnny Burnett, Grandmother: Eula Anderson, Uncles: Robert (Blackie) Burnett, Chester Burnett and Aunt Tammara Burnett.

Sunday was the happiest person you could ever meet.  She always was the brightest star in the room, with that contagious smile, she always greeted people with.  Her greatest accomplishment I would have to say was being a fantastic wife and mom.  Sunday always said she loved being a mom, she was a wonderful mother, wife, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law and a friend to many that was blessed to know her. 

She leaves to cherish her memories with her husband; Hiram O. McQueen, two daughters: Olivia De’etta McQueen and Karma Louise McQueen, Mother: Flora (Henry Reed) Burnett, Father: Charles(Barbara) Fairley, Sisters: April Marie Burnett, Renee Buckhaulton, Maria Perkins, Keisha Rankin.  Mother-in-law: Frances L. McQueen, Father-in-law: Solomon McQueen, Sister-in-Law: Victoria A. McQueen, Beverly D. McQueen, Charlene F. McQueen, Rashaunda N. McQueen.  Brother-in-law: Cyrus D. McQueen and Charles S. McQueen.  And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery.
