Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Greater Emmanuel Baptist Church for Ophia Delnita Johnson Sylvas, 56, of Slidell, Louisiana, who passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018. 

Pastor Alex Wesco, Jr.  will officiate at the service. 

Ophia Delnita Johnson was born in Houston, Texas on December 2, 1961 to the late Gloria Johnson and the late Ross Smith. Ophia was the oldest of four children. 

She leaves to cherish her loving memories:  two devoted sons, Kasey L. Johnson, and Ganarro D. Johnson; two beautiful sisters, Felicia Jenkins and Deborah Johnson; one brother, Richard Johnson; seven grandchildren, Kalyn, Jaqeri, Kamon, Kasey, Jr., London, Ganarro, Jr., and Malaysia; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Rufus & Ophelia Johnson.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.

Interment will be in New Palestine Cemetery.
