The Pearl River County School District will host its sixth annual Family Health Fair Tuesday evening.
The family health fair will be held at the Pearl River Central High School cafeteria from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Curriculum Coordinator Kimberly Alford said everyone in the community is invited to attend, not just students or citizens who live in the Pearl River County School District.
This year, there will be health professionals from about 25 local facilities at the family health fair.
“From our local hospital to our local dentists, there will be many representatives from our local health agencies,” Alford said.
During the event, attendees will learn about living a healthier life and have the opportunity to take home some samples.
Alford said door prizes will be given out every 15 minutes.
Local businesses including Smoothie King, Skate Station, Picayune Taekwondo, Total Fitness, Picayune Eye Clinic have regularly been a part the family health fair and will return this year.
“The goal of the health fair is to promote a healthy lifestyle to our families and students who live in Pearl River County,” Alford said.
