Funeral Service for Maggie Marie Williams – Murray “Moochie”, 53, of Picayune, Mississippi, who died February 24, 2018 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am at East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 

Rev. Brian K. Dees of East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church will officiate and Rev. Robert Landor of Mt. Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Long Beach, Mississippi will eulogize at the service.

Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the Direction of Brown’s Funeral Home

Maggie Marie Williams was born on July 15, 1964 to the late Frances McWilliams and Jim Williams in Picayune, Mississippi. She loved her family. She gave her life Christ to an early age and united with the East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Alonzo Dees.

As an infant, her Aunt Gladys and Uncle Earl, called her “Moochie” and that name stayed with her. Those that knew her, knew she was a very active, friendly and a good-hearted person. She didn’t meet strangers.  Those that she came in contact with her; always left with a presence of love.

She worked as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) at IHS of Slidell, Louisiana Rehabilitation Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances McWilliams Jones and Jim Williams;  and son, Albert McWilliams.

Maggie is survived by her four children, Alexis M. Magwood, Brandon D. Murray, Candis I. Murray of Picayune, Mississippi and Jamal Murray of Washington, DC; four sisters, Alberta McWilliams, Deborah Stubbs and Myrtis Patton-Tatum (Stephen) of Picayune, Mississippi and Sherry Bell  (Sterling) of Atlanta, Georgia; three brothers, Jessie Patton, Michael Patton and Willie Carl Patton of Picayune, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Ja´Kaya Jenkins, Chasidy Magwood and Amaria Magwood of Picayune, Mississippi; one Aunt, Gladys Dees; three Uncles, Earl Dees, and Lee McWilliams of Picayune, Mississippi and John McWilliams, Jacksonville, Florida and a host nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Interment will be in the Picayune Cemetery. Entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
