During Tuesday night’s game between the Picayune Memorial High School boys basketball team and Hattiesburg High School, Head Coach Kelton Thompson was absent on the sidelines yet again.

This is the second consecutive game where Thompson has been absent. He was also missing during the team’s last home game on Feb. 9.

During Tuesday’s game, assistant coach Eric Vianney coached the Maroon Tide.

At press time, calls to Thompson about the absence have not been returned.

When asked about Thompson’s absence, Picayune School District Assistant Superintendent Brent Harrell said, “That’s a personnel issue that can’t be discussed with your or anyone else.”
